Our institute

The International Institute of Economics and Law was founded in 1992 among the first of five private higher educational institutions of Russia

International Institute of Economics and Law (IIEL) has been carrying out its educational activity under the license of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation since 1992. In 2011 IIEL – one of the first higher educational institutions of Russia - was given an indefinite-term license to perform educational activities.

Since 2012 IIEL has been given a State accreditation.
IIEL was projected and established in the beginning of the 90-s as an adequate teachers’ answer to the increasing demand for specialists and highly qualified managers of a new type, -able to familiarize with intense information flows, having a fundamental professional education background, possessing a high culture of intellectual and managerial abilities, capable to promote the formation of civilized market relations, development of democracy and law-governed state.
Today’s IIEL is associated with thousands of students, studying in Russia and abroad. It is thousands of graduates employed both in the sphere of business and in responsible public authorities. It is presented by the best Moscow teaching staff and foreign lecturers – IIEL partners, specializing in the field of jurisprudence, informatics, economics, management and foreign languages.

It is a permanent creative pedagogical communication between a lecturer and a student, realized both in traditional forms and by means of new technologies.

It is a unique methodical and technical basis; dozens of auditoriums and up-to-date cyber centres.

Our mode of teaching is called “problem-oriented education”. The idea is that the students have to develop their mental and creative abilities, and not just learn. Purposeful and systematic training forms the qualities, allowing our alumni to hold the leading positions in modern society.

Aiming to train specialists at an international level, IIEL has established close links with foreign scientific organizations and higher educational institutions. Our priorities in the development of international ties are aimed at upgrading educational technologies; elaborating and implementing educational programs; discussing and correcting themes and disciplines; involving the prominent economists and lawyers from European and American higher educational institutions into the process of education; organizing and providing students with foreign study programs; attracting foreign specialists to the participation in the educational process; improving the professional skills of the scientific and pedagogical personnel abroad.

IIEL supports two-lateral contacts with educational institutions of Great Britain, France, Denmark, Germany, including the Society of Cross-Cultural Relations (Germany), the Center for System Studies in Hull University Business School / University of Hull (Great Britain).
